"Huaulta was one of the first Psilocybe cubensis varieties to be introduced to the Western World when an article entitled ""seeking the magic mushroom"" was published in Life Magazine by Gordon Wasson after he was the first westerner to trip with the Mazatec mushroom woman Maria Sabina. This event kicked off an explosion of psychedelic curiosity that would change history. Typically grows medium-sized fruits, with a broad cap ranging from light brown to golden tan in coloration, and white stems of moderate thickness. A prolific depositor of spores, often turning the caps of mature mushrooms purplish-black. Ingesting Hualta often elicits meaningful spiritual or mystical feelings, out-of-body experiences, and even contact with otherworldly entities."
