"Psilocybe Caerulescens was first reported in 1923 in Alabama, but can now be found in other southern US states such as South Carolina and Georgia. Can also be found in Mexico in the Sierra Madre mountain range at high altitudes. It is believed that this species was used by the Aztecs for its psychedelic properties. Physical characteristics of this species include very broad convex caps, that range in color from yellowish-brown to reddish-brown at the center, and silvery-blue at the edges. Caps also typically have a small depression in the center. Stems are thick, and range in color from white to reddish-brown, and spores are dark brown. This species bruises blue quite easily. The potency of this species is not well documented but is relatively low. Effects may include mild visual hallucinations, relaxed mindset, merriment, giggling, and mild introspection."
