"Psilocybe Allenii has been around for a long time, but it was not named until 2012 when well-known mycologist John Allen documented its features. The species is named after Allen himself. Grows in the Pacific Northwest region of North America from California to British Columbia, commonly within 10 miles of the Pacific Ocean. Fruiting bodies have cylindrical, hollow stems that become thick at the base where it connects to white rhizomorphs. Caps are orange-brown to caramel-brown that sometimes turn yellow in maturity. Spores are typically dark-brown but may also have a violet shade. Reported effects include intense visual hallucinations, synesthesia, a distorted sense of space and time, and euphoria."
