"Burmese was found in buffalo dung in an unplanted rice paddy near Yangoon, Burma, now modern day Myanmar. The sample was gifted to mycologist John Allen by a young Thai amateur mycologist. This fast-growing, prolifically colonizing Southeast Asian variety typically grows large amounts of medium fruiting bodies in dense clusters. Cap coloration ranges between many shades of brown often darker in the center. It produces moderately thick stems. Burma is prized for its ease of cultivation and fast colonization times.
